Landing Page - Quick Start Guide

People focused sub head enim disserendi elegantiam, confuse loquitur

  • Introduction:
    • The HTML Download feature allows you to take your customized Marketing Center email templates and landing pages and use them within your organization's preferred email platform or content management system.
    • Because platforms process HTML differently, some adjustments may be required after import. This guide walks you through the process and highlights important considerations along the way.
  • Steps: seven steps is a bit odd, but wasn’t sure what else could be included

  1. Customize Your Email or Landing Page
    1. Select a Marketing Center campaign based on your goals.
    2. Customize the template to match your financial institution’s branding: add your logo, colors, social media links, and images and messaging with point-and-click customization (images and messaging only available when using an editable template).
    3. Review all links and calls-to-action.
  2. Save and Publish – Before downloading:
    1. Save customizations
    2. Complete your review process.
    3. Publish the final version. Only published versions should be used for deployment.
  3. Download Your HTML File
    1. Select Download from the top navigation bar.
    2. The system will generate a zip file containing your customized HTML file and other necessary assets.
    3. Save the file in an easy-to-find location.
  4. Determine Your Implementation Approach
    1. After downloading your HTML file, decide how it will be implemented within your organization's email platform or website.
    2. Many email service providers and content management systems allow users to import HTML directly without advanced technical knowledge. If you're comfortable working within your organization's platform, you may be able to complete the import and testing process yourself.
      1. Helpful tip: If you're responsible for implementing the file yourself, review your platform's documentation and complete thorough testing before sending an email or publishing a landing page.
    3. If your organization has technical resources available, you may choose to share the HTML file with them. They can assist with implementation, testing, and any platform-specific adjustments.
    4. Don't have a technical team? No problem. Many organizations successfully import and deploy HTML emails and landing pages without dedicated developers. The downloaded file is intended to provide a ready-to-use starting point that can be uploaded into many email service providers and content management systems. If adjustments are needed after import, consult your platform's support resources or documentation for guidance specific to your environment.
  5. Import Into Your Email Platform or CMS and Review
    1. Check your content carefully
    2. Review the entire email or landing page.
    3. Pay special attention to images, fonts, buttons, links, spacing, mobile responsiveness
    4. You may have to adjust – these are normal and vary by platform.
  6. Test Before Launching
    1. For Email: send test emails, check desktop, check mobile, verify links, verify unsubscribe functionality
    2. For Landing Pages: test navigation, review mobile rendering, confirm all links
    3. Important Callout: Templates are designed and tested within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Additional testing is recommended when using any third-party email service provider or CMS platform.
  7. Launch Your Campaign – deploy with confidence
    1. Once testing is complete: Schedule or send your email campaign, publish your landing page, monitor performance, plan your next campaign.
    2. Make future improvements based on engagement metrics
